The mission of the Florida Chapter of
the Historical Novel Society (FCHNS) is to
promote historical fiction. FCHNS provides
support, education and networking
opportunities for writers, readers,
librarians, editors, agents and publishers
of the genre.
The FCHNS holds meetings on the
first Saturday of every month, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., on topics related to the
craft of writing historical fiction. Meetings are held in the Community
Room of the Central Ridge Library in Citrus County, 425 W. Roosevelt Blvd.,
Beverly Hills, FL 34465.
The topic for the meeting on
April 7, 2012 is about digital publishing:
Joyce Moore,
writing as Elizabeth Elson (http://www.elizabethelson.com), has ventured from the secure world of
traditional publishing to eBooks and will share what she learned while
getting her first digital book online. Her eBook is now available at
Amazon, Barnes & Noble, the Apple store, and other online retailers, all of
whom require a different format. Come prepared to take notes if you want to
know how to get started with digital publishing.
